Christine, I still have this blue male, "Hans" and this year he became a father -- finally!! I was beginning to think that he was a female because he would just hang out with the girls and sit in the nest with them but he was not interested in anything else the girls had to offer. This year though, he has kept these girls very busy. Almost every egg from his pen is fertile. I had to even remove my girl that I got from Vickie (Blueberry Muffin's daughter) because he pulled out almost all of the feathers on her head and I was afraid that he would tear the skin on the back of her head. The two goslings that I have from him so far look like your 1st gosling this year. I am thinking that they are buff. I am keeping my fingers crossed.
