Hi, Vicky! I have been lurking and reading the posts on this site for nearly a year, so perhaps it is time to introduce myself.

My name is Brandy and I live in Louisiana. Sebastopols are quite uncommon in my area. I purchased 2 white Sebastopol goslings in 2012 as a sexed pair and ended up with 2 ganders. I really had no intention of breeding and my boys grew up to be wonderful companions so I had no complaints. In 2013 I claimed 3 Sebastopol eggs in a chain swap. To my delight, I hatched a beautiful saddleback female. We named her Ruffie after my husband's grandmother (nickname of course -> :smile ) because she had such a large personality. She followed me around like a shadow for months as she was a singleton hatch. My 2 boys were very enamored with her, but they never fought and were quite the gentlemen. Sadly, I lost Ruffie to a predator recently and am really missing her floating around the yard. I will try to edit and post a few pics from my phone.

Welcome to the forum, Brandy! ->: goose

I am sorry to hear about Ruffie. She was a beautiful bird.

What is a chain swap?
